LIFE Youth Philanthropy
Mission: To inspire and foster philanthropy through the youth of our community
LIFE is a youth philanthropy initiative founded by the Dekko Foundation under the direction of the LaGrange County Community Foundation. Students from Lakeland, Westview and Prairie Heights become members as 9th graders and remain through high school. The program is also open to home school students. Students gain experiences in community service and promote philanthropy among young people.
LIFE meets once a month during the school year to plan ways to encourage youth in LaGrange County and assist in service projects. LIFE offers grants to community nonprofits and school projects that promote youth involvement in education and philanthropy.
