LAGRANGE – The LaGrange County Community Foundation is now accepting applications for its Community Impact Grants program, offering funding opportunities for nonprofit organizations working to improve the quality of life for LaGrange County residents.
Community Impact Grants support projects and programs that address local needs, create opportunities, and strengthen communities throughout the county. Funding is made possible through the generosity of donors who contribute to the Community Foundation’s unrestricted and field-of-interest funds, allowing the Community Foundation to respond to emerging needs and promising ideas.
Two grant cycles remain in 2026, with application deadlines of June 26 and September 25. In 2025, the Community Foundation awarded $165,000 through its Community Impact Grants Program to support impactful nonprofit initiatives across LaGrange County.
The Community Foundation welcomes applications from nonprofit organizations serving LaGrange County residents and encourages proposals that are innovative, collaborative, and responsive to community needs. Projects may focus on arts and culture, recreation, health and human services, community development, education, or the environment.
“These grants help bring impactful ideas to life,” said Octavia Yoder, Executive Director. “Whether it’s expanding educational opportunities, enhancing public spaces, or addressing critical community needs, we’re proud to invest in nonprofits that are making LaGrange County a stronger, more vibrant place to live.”
“If your organization sees a community need and has an idea for addressing it, we encourage you to start a conversation with us,” Yoder added.
Grant awards typically range from $5,000 to $25,000, though funding amounts are based on project need, scope and potential impact.
Organizations that are considering applying – even if they are unsure whether their project is a fit – are encouraged to reach out to before submitting an application. Leanna Martin, Program Director, is available to discuss project ideas, answer questions, and help organizations navigate the application process. First-time applicants are welcome.
