Howe Legacy Fund

Howe Legacy Fund supports projects benefiting the Howe community, including festivals, community events, community services, parks, youth development, youth sports, recreation, social services, health & human services, community development, or education.
What Do We Fund?
Grant amounts typically range between $5,000-20,000 to support needs in the Howe Community. If you have a larger request, please reach out to our office at 260-463-4363. This fund seeks to improve life in the Howe community as well as Lima Township. Fundraising, sponsorships and re-granting projects are NOT eligible for funding. Eligibile nonprofit organizations eligible to apply: Howe Community Association, Howe Lions Club, Howe churches, civic clubs, Howe Fire Department, Lima Township, Lakeland School Corporation, LaGrange County Economic Development Corporation, but not limited to these.
One grant award per organization.
Grant Deadlines
Application deadlines are April 15 and September 15, 2026.
The Howe Legacy Funds are awarded based on funds available. Applications are reviewed by a committee and are subject to board approval. Award notification will be made within 60 days of the application submission.
How to Apply
The Foundation has an online grant application process. You will be required to upload a few documents to the online application. We recommend you have them easily available in PDF format:
- Project Budget (This budget must include ALL planned revenue and expenses relevant to the specific request.)
- List of organization’s current Board of Directors and their affiliations.
