Scholarship Evaluators

Support Local Achievements: Volunteer to Review Applications

Each year, we rely on volunteers to help review more than 500 applications. By dedicating your time, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our community and its members.

The evaluation process is entirely online and requires only a personal computer to participate. Volunteers can be professionals from any discipline or sector.

Requirements:

  • Age: Must be at least 23 years old.

  • Connection to LaGrange County: Volunteers should live, work, or have strong ties to the LaGrange County community.

  • Availability: Must have 3-4 hours available to review applications during a 2-week period in March 2025.

  • Compliance: All volunteers are required to sign a Conflict of Interest Form and a Confidentiality Policy to ensure impartiality and protect sensitive information.

What to Expect:

Volunteers will evaluate applications based on the following criteria:

  • The applicant’s record of academic and personal achievement.

  • The applicant’s record of community service and engagement.

  • The recommendation provided by an academic or professional contact.

  • The substance and quality of writing in the essay and application.

This is a meaningful opportunity to give back and directly impact the lives of individuals in our community. If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer evaluator, complete the application here.
