Strategic Plan
For LaGrange County Community Foundation to do its best work, we must understand what issues are most important to our community. Several years ago, we gathered input through focus groups with nonprofit directors and community leaders, as well as surveys of donors, board members, community partners, and volunteers. Guided by what we learned, our Board of Directors and staff challenged ourselves to be open to new ideas, strive for excellence, and respond to community needs. The result was a strategic plan—adopted several years ago—that continues to guide our priorities and actions today.
Four Strategic Areas
ASSET DEVELOPMENT
Proactively raise funds to increase impact around community needs.
COMMUNITY CATALYST
Define and establish the foundation’s role as community leader.
LEADERSHIP
Foster, recruit and retain people, resources and knowledge to excel in our mission.
STRENGHTEN NONPROFITS
Align foundation grant and education opportunities with nonprofit needs.
