LAGRANGE, IN — The LaGrange County Community Foundation’s Community Scholarship Program is open and accepting applications.
The program offers financial support to high school graduating seniors planning to graduate by June 2025. Scholarships are available based on residency, high school attendance, extracurricular and community involvement, and future career plans, with more than $160,000 available in scholarships for local students.
To apply, students must complete the common application, which will match them to qualifying scholarship opportunities. The deadline for applications is March 7, 2025.
“The Community Scholarship Program is a vital part of our mission to support the education of LaGrange County students,” said Octavia Yoder, Executive Director of the LaGrange County Community Foundation. “We are proud to offer these scholarships, which help students pursue their dreams and contribute to our community’s future.”
In addition to the long-standing scholarships, the following new Community Scholarships will be offered for the first time this year:
- GO Shine Like Gwen Memorial Scholarship – Provides an award to a Westview senior in memory of Gwendolyn Owsley. Applicants must be involved in extracurricular activities and community service and submit an essay reflecting on how their involvement has positively impacted the lives of others.

Donors may specify award criteria and name the fund in honor or memory of a loved one.
